senso mini sclera

The Senso Mini Scleral lenses are indicated for (mild to highly) irregular corneas.
Goal is to bridge the cornea. The weight of the lens is resting on the sclera.
All lenses are laser marked with Procornea logo and unique batch number. This means
guaranteed quality.

Fitting advice:
Choose a lens from the trial set, based on slit lamp findings and topography.
Fill the lens completely with unpreserved saline solution and color it with fluorescein. Insert the lens
on eye in horizontal position, to prevent air bubbles trapped between lens and cornea.
Evaluate corneal and scleral fit. The ideal fit can be achieved by adjusting the combination of the
sagittal height, peri factor and toricity.
Goal is to bridge the cornea. Ideal is a tear layer thickness of 250 microns (this is about half the
corneal thickness) between lens and cornea. This is visible in an optical section with the slit lamp.
The scleral fit is okay when the lens is aligned properly on the sclera without blanching of the
conjunctival vessels.

LCF (Limbal Clearance Factor):
If needed, for example in case of large cornea diameters, extra clearance can be created in the
limbal area using Limbal Clearance Factor.
LCF 1: first choice when more limbal clearance is required.
LCF 2: in case of insufficient limbal clearance with LCF 1.
