Senso Full Sclera

The Senso full scleral lenses are indicated in (very) irregular corneas. Goal is to bridge
the cornea. The weight of the lens is resting on the sclera. The standard design features
a toric periphery.
Features:
• Solution for irregular corneas
• Crisp and clear vision
• Optimal wearing comfort
• Toric periphery

Fitting advice:
Choose a lens from the trial set, based on slit lamp findings and topography. Fill the lens completely
with unpreserved saline solution and color it with fluorescein. Insert the lens on eye in horizontal
position, to prevent air bubbles trapped between lens and cornea.
Evaluate corneal and scleral fit. The ideal fit can be achieved by adjusting the combination of the
sagittal height, perifactor and toricity. Goal is to bridge the cornea. Ideal is a tear layer thickness
of 250 microns (this is about half the corneal thickness) between lens and cornea. This is visible in
an optical section with the slit lamp. The scleral fit is okay when the lens is aligned properly on the
sclera without blanching of the conjunctival vessels.
